Pin Frequently Used Snippets for Easy Access

Pinning frequently used text snippets with Quick Clipboard Editor can make your workflow more convenient. Pinned clips are displayed in a dedicated menu that you can open by clicking the Pin button at the lower left of the editor window:

  • left-click the button to paste the clip in the QCE editor;
  • or right-click the Pin button to load the selected clip in the editor.

The Pinned clips can also be pasted in the editor using the hotkeys Alt + 1 to Alt + 0.

To pin the clip currently in the editor, select Clipboard, Manage Pinned clips (or hit F4) to open the Manage Pinned clips dialog box. Select the position for this clip and click the Pin button. If you select a position currently assigned, the previous clip will be replaced. To remove a pinned clip, select it and click Unpin.

The Pinned clips benefits are:

  • Easy access: Reduce scrolling through history of copied items.
  • Reduced clutter: By pinning important snippets, you can keep your clipboard history manageable and focused on the most relevant copied content.
  • Faster pasting: Assigning keyboard shortcuts to pinned clips lets you paste frequently used content with a simple key combination, saving time and effort.

Overall, pinning frequently used clips in a clipboard manager streamlines your workflow by providing quick and easy access to the information you use most often.
